Every year Hollywood seems to outdo itself when it comes to movies. Yes, 2016 gave us animated delights like
Zootopia and Finding Dory, action packed blockbusters with Deadpool and Captain America: Civil War, major girl power thanks to Ghostbusters, and so much more. But 2017 just may outdo those with too many goodies from Disney, a couple of tearjerkers, plenty of superheroes and more!
The Space Between Us
Have tissues on standby because this is not going to be an easy one to get through. Imagine being the first person born on Mars (yes, Mars), falling in love with someone on Earth, and then risking your life to see them because your heart cannot handle being on another planet too long.
The original scared the crap out of us and made going to the circus not too pleasant BUT for some reason we think we can handle the remake now that we’re older and much wiser. Okay, so we may watch with our hands over our eyes - so what?
It’s a war movie, but it stars One Direction's Harry Styles so we’re all about it.
Friday the 13th
What’s cool about this one is that it’s being released on...dun, dun, dun - Friday the freaking 13th...in October. How spooky!
A Dog’s Purpose
Remember how much
Homeward Bound makes you bawl your eyes out every time? Well take that and multiply it by a million because this dog’s tale is about to give you all the feels.
After crying and being scared, it’s time for some major laughs thanks to our girl crush Anna Kendrick. She’s cast aside as her friend’s wedding by way of being seated at what appears to be the misfit/forgotten guest table in the back. Now it’s time to see how these guys and gals all connect their unfortunate seating arrangement.
Henry Cavill, Jason Momoa and our love from "Perks of Being a Wallflower" Ezra Miller all on one screen? Yes please!
We're too excited to see what Pixar does with this Día de los Muertos inspired movie, but we're not too happy we have to wait until Thanksgiving week to see it. Marking our calendars now!
The LEGO Batman Movie
If it’s half as good as
The LEGO Movie, it’ll still be fantastic. Plus, it’s Batman alongside a very precocious Robin.
Of course no one can deny Robin Williams was golden in the original, but that doesn’t mean we’re going to disregard the possibilities of this remake starring Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
Don't care that this is the 23,432nd one if the series, we'll always love Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow. Plus, Orlando Bloom is set to return? YASSSS!
Our girl Zendaya is about to slay alongside new cutie on the scene Tom Holland in the latest installment of the Spidey franchise.
We're more curious to see how they bring this to 2017, but we're still going to Go! Go! See this movie!
Pitch Perfect 3
As if anything would ever keep us from supporting our girls, the Bellas.
Zac Efron on the beach. The Rock on the beach. Done and done.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
Chris Pratt is still on the top of our crush list, but lil' Groot? That guy has already stolen our hearts.
Beauty and the Beast
One trailer with nothing more than a hint of Emma Watson as Belle and we were hooked. Disney has done a lot of live-action remakes but O-M-G we cannot wait for this one. Is it March 17th yet?
