10 Movies You REALLY Should See Before You Hit 30

10 Movies You REALLY Should See Before You Hit 30
Universal Pictures

Whether you're looking for an old school classic, a drama, or maybe you're more of a rom-com type girl; either way there are certain films that you have to see at some point in your life and what better time then before you hit the big 3-0 and become an actual adult.

While it can be a tough milestone to manage, typically more bills to pay, (probably) more mouths to feed, and the list goes on. But this is a bit of an easier task at hand to master.

So the next time you're in need of a good ole Netflix & Chill night, you're in luck because we've rounded up our top ten flicks that are currently streaming for you and your boo to cozy up to. These particular movies are must sees before you venture into real adulthood.

The Breakfast Club

This 80's coming of age classic is a must-see for anyone whose ever experienced their awkward high school years. Whether you were the class jock, nerd, reclusive outcast, rebellious delinquent or the pampered, prom queen, this movie is bound to resonate while it brings together five very different typecasts.  Watch it on Amazon or Hulu.

Good Will Hunting

This Oscar-winning American drama is sure to be a tear jerker (so maybe not best for a first date), but its original screenplay, followed by the powerful dynamic between Robin Williams and Matt Damon make it an absolute must-watch. Find it on Hulu.

When Harry Met Sally

This classic 80's rom-com brings together two unlikely characters, played by Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal, and chronicles their friendship throughout the duration of the movie; prompting the question of whether men and women can ever really be just friends. Find out on Hulu.

Pulp Fiction

This 1990's black comedy may be bizarre and hard to follow due to its multiple storylines and wacky characters; however, that doesn't negate the fact that it has also been regarded as one of the greatest films of all time for these very reasons. Stream it on Netflix

10 Things I Hate About You

A modernized version of William Shakespeare's comedy The Taming of the Shrew and quite possibly one of the best 90s rom-coms of it's time. Its killer cast (the chemistry between Julia Stiles and Health Ledger, c'mon!), witty banter and who could forget Julia Stiles famous, tear jerker of a poem -- it'll get you every time, no matter how many times you've seen it -- and you can see it again on Netflix.

Forrest Gump

Forrest Gump is one of the most classic movies of all time and it also won the Academy Award for Best Picture (among others) so it's kinda hard not to include on this list. See it on Netflix.

Sixteen Candles

Another coming of age classic directed by John Hughes, starring Molly Ringwald and Anthony Michael Hall. It's an absolute must-watch for anyone whose ever experienced the trials and tribulations of turning Sweet 16. Catch it on Netflix.

A one-of-a-kind coming of age movie filmed throughout the course of 11 years with no completed script and only basic plot points, so as to accurately depict the childhood and adolescence of main character Mason Evans Jr. There's really nothing else quite like it. Stream it on Netflix.

Love Actually

This Christmas rom-com is a definite must-see over the holiday season and knows just how to get you in the spirit with its multiple, love story plot lines that are bound to give you all the feels. Enjoy it on Netflix.

What's Eating Gilbert Grape

This well-received American drama became the first Academy Award nomination for Leonardo DiCaprio (and luckily not the last) for his rave portrayal of Arnie, who struggles with a developmental disability; Johnny Depp and Juliette Lewis also add to the stunning cast list. If you want a film that'll remind you of the importance of family, check it out on Netflix now.
