Lindsay Lohan Wants a 'Mean Girls' Sequel and We Couldn't Agree More

Every generation needs at least one or two teen movies to connect to, but for some reason it wasn’t just youths who were all about 2004’s Mean Girls. This was a film EVERYONE and their cool moms were quoting and loving from day one. That’s why we get extremely excited all these years later when we hear even the littlest buzz about something more coming from this ensemble. It’s been confirmed that a Mean Girl’s musical is on the way but if Lindsay Lohan has anything to do with it, we’ll have a sequel. At least she (and we) hope one day.

Recently, Cady Heron herself, Lindsay Lohan, sat down in a Facebook Live interview with CNN, and of course Mean Girls came up because what else do you talk to Lohan about when you have her one-on-one? Anyway, she ain’t even mad about it. In fact, she wants a sequel just as much as the fans do! She said, "I have been trying so hard to do a Mean Girls 2."

Lohan even admitted she’s taken things a step further and wrote a treatment for what could possibly turn into a real deal movie. Of course she is realistic noting, “It is not in my hands. I know that Tina Fey and Lorne Michaels and all of Paramount are very busy,” but optimistically added, “I will keep forcing it and pushing it on them until we do it.”

While she didn’t dish about what her treatment was all about, she did say she would love to have Jamie Lee Curtis and Jimmy Fallon as part of it. We’d like that too because, um, who didn’t love her and Curtis in Freaky Friday back in the day, but we’re curious as to who she and Fallon would even play.

Great, now we’re going to be sitting here wondering the actual plot encased in Lohan’s sequel. In reality, it needs to be a high school reunion but other than that. We’ll leave it to the professionals. All we know is that if Lohan is on board, we’re backing her 100%.
